Archangelsk, that is the city which you can see represented at 500 roubles bill. At some of these pictures you can see a monument of Russian emperor Peter the Great (he used to be in Archangelsk few times) which is also represented at that bill. Archangelsk is beautiful ancient seaside town situated ashore of Northern Dvina river. Full-watered river, oceanic ships and boats, that's what I feel a lack of, living in Chelyabinsk. Unfortunately now I can't travel to Archangelsk as often as I would like to. It is quite exotic land. In May-June you can read a paper whole the night there without any electric light. Those are 'White Nights'. And did you ever you see a wooden pavement somewhere else? And I would like to say that the people of that land are somewhat special. Every time when I arrive there I feel the difference, I can't explain exactly what is it, the only word which is coming into my mind is 'better'. There is something special in that land.
